Here at America's Condom Superstore, we have been in the condom business for almost 3 decades. Since 1996 Rip n Roll has been on the cutting edge of the condom industry. From retail sales to wholesale distribution to manufacturing custom designs and the marketing of condoms throughout the world, we have seen it all. While many condoms have come and gone, there has been one type of condoms that have stood the test of time...and those condoms are the smaller size or snugger fitting condoms.
Over the years many condoms have come and gone, and we do mean many. There is always a "New and improved" condom that hits the market but like many, most soon fade away or discontinue production altogether. We have come to realize that the bigger more profitable condom companies, or should we say "Popular condoms" are more about advertising a hook than actual performance of their products. The biggest companies, and you can guess on your own who they are, are more of what seems to be an advertising agency than an actual condom company in tune with their audience. They use words like "Magnum, XL or even XXL. Ecstasy, Raw, Bareskin, Sensation...and the list goes on. It is a point of purchase visual that catches your eye, but many times underperforms. Are they really giving you, the customer, what you really need?
For almost 30 years, we continue to get asked the questions "What is your most popular condom?" or "What are your best selling condoms?" The answer is still the same, out of all the hundreds of condoms we sell, the smaller condom brands continue to be one of, if not THE most popular condoms we sell online.
So why don't you see ads for these "Smaller Condoms" on cable or late night tv? We see plenty of companies marketing MAGNUMS. Why don't we see pharmacy shelves stocked with these popular "Snugger Condoms"? well I'll tell you why shortly, but lets first look at some not so boring facts...rather eye opening facts actually.
Both men and (to a lesser extent, according to studies) women are curious about the average size of men’s genitals. Studies show that the average penis size is both smaller and more uniform from country to country (and ethnicity to ethnicity) than common pop-cultural assumptions might suggest. Several scientific studies have attempted to determine the worldwide average length of an erect penis. While conclusions have varied, the average length of a human male’s penis is generally calculated to be between 12.9 cm (5.1 in) and 13.92 cm (5.5 in). Like average breast size in females, penis size can have an unduly oversized impact on a man’s sense of self-worth. It does not, however, have any connection to fertility rate, total births per day, or even a typical citizen’s average number of sexual partners.
So as you can see, the data does not lie. The United States Average erect penis size is only 5.6 inches. A far cry from the highly marketed, 8 to 9 inch Magnum or XXL condoms you see advertised everywhere. I mean even in Thailand, where the average size is only 3.7, do you really think they need Larger condoms?

Due to they way we have been programmed over the years, buying small condoms in a store can impose many awkward problems so to speak. The chances of slipping that box of snugger fitting condoms unnoticed past the pretty girl at the checkout counter or the older lady at the Pharmacy for that matter are slim to none. In many cases the package of small condoms will be stolen or not purchased at all due to embarrassment or feeling of self shame, when in fact those smaller sized condoms should be marketed as the "smarter choice" for many, many men. It's kind of like the 5 foot tall guy buying a Monster Truck. He can barely get into. He may think it's cool but it really isn't impressing anyone and in reality, not really the ideal fit.
I can only guess it is for this reason that these tighter fitting condoms are so hard to find in stores. Companies aren't advertising them, Men aren't buying them. And if stores aren't selling them, manufacturers wont make them. Simple as that
The trend we have seen over the last few decades, for most guys with smaller penises, is unless there is a self checkout, guys looking to buy smaller size condoms are pretty much limited to buying those snugger fit condom brands online from the privacy of their homes.
After seeing the data, there really is no reason for guys to feel inadequate about penis size. After all, penis size is really like shoes size, everyone is different. Just because you have small feet does not mean you should feel inadequate buying small shoes. Likewise, you don't buy big shoes for smaller feet so why buy Bigger condoms for a smaller penis size.
The most practical thing to do would be to try a smaller condom if you feel you are less endowed. There should be no embarrassment involved and it is actually a better choice in terms of pregnancy protection being that the smaller, more secure fitting condom will be less likely to slip off during sexual activity.
We wrote an informative article all about smaller condom sizes and how to find the right fitting condom for your own unique size and endowment. The article "Finding the Right Small Condom can be a challenge" goes into detail about how to measure yourself as well as links to all of our smaller sized condoms
The data along with trends we have seen with our own customer purchases and inquiries, shows an interesting fact about smaller condoms. The fact is, smaller condoms are in more demand but yet harder to find on store shelves. That being said, this should not deter you from searching out smaller or "snugger fitting" condoms if you are a less than endowed male. Don't feel shy or inadequate, the worldwide data shows most men do not need the Magnum or larger size condoms.
